Gone International
March 27th, 2006It’s been awhile since I posted a journal entry here. We have a pretty active member’s only site and sometimes I forget that you all tracking us that aren’t members don’t know all that’s going on.
Here is the summary. Membership is at 17 members, 2 investigators and 3 alumni. We have completed story board panels for 57 scenes and have 42 remaining. In our production design process we have identified 35 sets and have completed drafts of 3 of them.
We are almost ready to air the first episode of the “Imaginarium Experience,” a documentary about our process for the “X and Y,” film as well as other projects we get into in the future.
On the technical front we are planning on using Blender 3D as the engine for producing the previsualization animatic. Our challenge with Blender is how to use it for final production work when we want to redender with a more sophisticated system.
We are still meeting twice a week but are currently discussing consolidating into a once a week meeting. We have begun admitting online members from outside of the Portland Community as far away as the UK.
