We are just two sets away from having complete 2D designs for all the sets which means we will a step closer to thinking in color and 3D modelling in the computer. We have been designing sets off an on for over a year.  We actually developed backward by creating storyboard panels and then designing sets that fit what we envisioned in our story pitches.  In retrospect I would design the sets first and then we would have basis for planning blocking and shots in the storyboards.

Stuff always takes longer

One thing that has been a certainty throughout this production is that we can never predict how long things will take.  You get in a grove and think that if you cruise along at the same pace you can predict when you will finish milestones, like… voice over editing.

However that’s the secret, nothing ever stays the same and once you have a grove going you got to play along and ride it out realizing it can’t possibly last.  We suffered from not one, but two members being effected by seperate vehicle/bicycle accidents, new jobs and changing work schedules.  So never count on cruising along at the same pace.

We are a little over halfway through the first rough cut of dialog.  I had originally anticipated we would have a draft of the Story Reel with dialog by end of June.  I now think its more like end of August.
